Dental team in Guatemala

Our dental team arrived yesterday afternoon. Dr. Matt and Dr. Heather will be working alongside our Guatemalan dental student Astrid to serve the people of Guatemala. Both Heather and Matt have come in the past and they are super fun to work with! Today they pulled out close to 100 teeth on patients from 3 yrs old and up! Dental work is something that is very expensive and usually not a possibility for those living in extreme poverty. They usually suffer for a very long time with infected teeth. This week we will be doing mostly extractions for everyone and sealants on children.
