Damaris is one year old and severely malnourished. She entered into our Chubby Cherubs program of nutritional cookies to help her gain weight, but she really needs the help of a sponsor to buy her powdered milk to drink. She has an older brother who is 7 and an older sister who is 3. Damaris and her siblings live with their mother and 5 relatives of their mother in a one room cement house with a tin roof and a dirt floor. Virginia doesn’t work and depends on financial help from one of her brothers to support her three children. The family usually eats tortillas for three meals a day with rice, beans, eggs or sometimes just salt.

Glendy is three and a half years old but only weighs 19 pounds! She has been diagnosed with severe malnutrition and entered into our program of nutritional cookies to help her gain weight, but she really needs the help of a sponsor to buy her powdered milk and other food. Glendy has one older brother, four older sisters and two younger sisters. Her siblings range in age from 1 month to 13 years old. Glendy lives with her brother and sisters and their parents in a one room shack made out of wooden boards and a tin roof with a dirt floor. Her father works cutting sugar cane from November – May and is usually unemployed for the rest of the year. The family usually eats tortillas for three meals a day with eggs, beans, boiled herbs or rice.
#3041 Rudy Daniel Alberto Tello Aguilar
Rudy is four years old but only weighs 23 pounds! He has been diagnosed with severe malnutrition and is participating in our program of nutritional cookies to help him gain weight, but he needs the help of a sponsor to provide him with powdered milk and other food. Rudy is an only child and he lives with his single mother, and her mother and brother in a one room concrete house with a cement floor. They are renting the house and all his mother’s monthly salary goes towards paying the rent. Angelica works cleaning houses and her brother works selling purified water to help support the family.
