Today was Sue and Holly’s last day of working in the clinic. They have both recovered from their illnesses and we had a busy and productive day. A newborn baby who lost his mother recovered from a hospitalization and found a sponsor in the US today. Benite and i have started giving out the beautiful newborn kits sent from Elane and Sherry and the safebirth sets as well. Benite got to practise her new skills as a midwife, assessing a 4 hour old baby yesterday morning. We were so happy to have supplies to give to the new mother, as she came with nothing.

We have lots of plans for the weekend, including a mobile clinic at Damien tomorrow morning. We are all getting really excited about our staff holiday at the beach. Everyone is talking about it. We are hoping for a really big turnout and Pouchon has been working hard to get our bus all ready for the trip. Thanks to Holly and Sue for all their good work here in the clinic. We hope they have a safe trip home.

Goodnight from Haiti. -Alison
