Gena and 4 nurses arrived safely in Haiti today. They got a great welcome with an evening of no electricity or water. Thankfully, after a lot of hard work from Pouchon and Mr. Genois, we now have both. We are very happy to have the team here and are looking forward to a great week with them.
Today I made a trip to the hospital with two of our patients who will, God willing, will both get surgery done tomorrow.
Our interns are both doing a great job. Sandra is working hard preparing TOEFL lesson plans and teaching the classes, and her students are learning a lot. Nicole has successfully established a compost system and is now working on educating the Haitian staff about how to use it.
