There were less overall patients today but many needed more in-depth care. Many kids were nebulized for asmatic symptoms. We had a little 4 month old baby that really needed to go to the hospitam to get oxygen but her (17 yr old) mother was reluctant because they had been treated poorly by the hospital nurses in the past. So sad that poor patient care could affect future visits and possibly the health of a child. Makes me so so thankful for our wonderful respectful staff and team members who do the best they can to serve the people living in extremem poverty.
In the afternoon the team walked down to the river with Arlete the translafor and Flor our ultrasound/lab tech. Theu enjoyed seeing another part of the village that is more remote and natural.
