A kind and thoughtful team

Today was John's funeral. It was a very sad day for all of us in Haiti. When the team heard the family was having a hard time with funeral costs they took up a collection. 

We had to leave early so Patrick led the team in cooking breakfast and cleaning. They worked on the septic tank for the new building and then quickly cleaned up 

And organized everything for a reception for after the funeral. Then they cleaned up afterwards. 

It was a very exhausting day for Tali, Jack, Nate, Patrick , Allie and I so Patrick volunteered to lead the meeting. 

The team washed all the dishes so the cooks didn't have to work tonight. 

Our hearts broke as we shared in this sad day with staff, friends, family and Johns new wife. 

Tomorrow I will meet with the family 

To discuss a memorial  for John. 

We will miss you John.
