Water filters, patients and crocheted skirts

Today was a great first day! Often the first day is a little chaotic and crazy, but things went surprisingly smoothly. The doctors who went to the school did well-child checkup for 120 students in two hours. At the clinic we saw around 55 patients.

The water filter team installed four filters today and started sifting and washing sand to use in the filters tomorrow.

Gale started teaching some of the girls how to crochet skirts.

So all in all a very productive day.

  1. Here is the fully functional filter. This is the final product of all the hard work of many young volunteers of BanlieueUP group. http://plumbingjudge.com/
