We’ve had a really fun and busy weekend here in Haiti. On Saturday the yoga team did a half day class here in Blanchard with the neighborhood kids and then went off for a visit to Cassandra’s family. Patricia and i did another day of the birth attendant training, this day focusing on newborn resuscitation. The class remains really enthusiastic and learning all kinds of new things. For the afternoon, some people went to the museum downtown and saw the palace and the art market, and a few of us relaxed back at the compound.
Sunday was a beautiful morning of church and singing and then we all went off to the beach. It was a gorgeous day, we all swam ate and had a wonderful time together. We spent the evening cleaning and organizing the clinic for important visitors we are hosting soon. The place looks sparkling and welcoming. especially with our new multicolored roof, Sandra and Lizzy say looks like Chucky Cheese, i say “tankou lakansiel”-like a rainbow. -Alison
