Well after a very successful week the team from St. Joe's left today. They got a LOT accomplished - painted a house, painted most of the clinic, dug out and put in a foundation for our patio out back, moved a lot of materials, saw a lot of patients and had a lot of fun.
After we dropped them off at the airport this morning Sergio, Emily and I hung out for a few hours at a mall in the city, took a little nap in the van and then picked up the next group! This is a team of 18 people - 15 from my church back home in Peabody, MA (including my Dad, sister and best friend) and 3 other people that have volunteered with PID in the past. We had a safe ride back to the hotel and a yummy dinner waiting for us when we got there.
Tomorrow we will spend the day in San Pedro on the shores of Lake Atitlan. I'll be sure to put up some pictures. =)
