Today the medical team did well child checkups for about 40 of our sponsored children. The construction team painted the clinic and it looks beautiful. After work, the team was able to get off the clinic grounds for a tour of Port-au-Prince, including a drive through the downtown market, a view of the palace, purchases of Haitian artwork, and a visit to a Haitian restaurant.
This week, the St. Joseph’s students have been taking turns shadowing the doctor and nurses and working on the construction site. The construction team completed digging the foundation. Beth has been working hard all week on producing my job description, a manual for PID, and a PID information handout. The solar team has been working hard and showed myself, John, and Pouchon a presentation about their plans and ideas for the clinic and for Canaan. We are all very excited.
