It has been a while since I last posted, but not for lack of things to say. Just because we were having some trouble with the blog site. I finally figured out how to log in and post so here is an update of what's been happening down here in Guatemala:
The team left on Saturday November 12th after a very successful week. We ran a VBS for 120 children each day complete with a party on the last day with a clown show and cake for everyone! The construction crew worked hard to get the depot finished and painted Keily and Mario's house. In the clinic we had well child visits, sick visits, pregnant women getting seen and many workshops being given to the women of the village thanks to the two midwives who came down.
After the team left, Mary and Rich Vrana stayed for an extra four days. We got to go and see some Mayan ruins on Sunday. Then on Monday and Tuesday they helped out around the clinic and painted Vilma Cruz's house.
Then on Wednesday November 16th Mary and Rich left along with Vanessa leaving me all alone. Since then I've been working on getting myself organized once again. I just submitted the information for 15 new children who are waiting for sponsors - and there are more coming! Today I've been working on planning for the children's Christmas party in December.
