Today was a great day for us here in Haiti. We went to Canaan to do well child check ups for some of the kids in the sponsorship program there. It was my first time going back to Canaan since I returned to Haiti. It was so wonderful to see all the children! They are doing so well.

After, we went to the Foyer De Sion Orphanage, where Sarah’s adopted daughter came from. She says the following about her experience:
“The caregivers at my daughter’s orphanage invested all the love and hugs and kisses and giggles in one year of her life. Now I reap the benefits of their labor every day. Words cannot describe what it felt like to see their faces and say ‘Thank you.’
“I hope that I am of service in some way to PID. I try to do good work in the clinic and with the beautiful children in the sponsorship program. But, again, I am the one who is reaping the benefits of their labor. ‘Thank you’ is not enough for Foyer De Sion Orphanage, nor is it enough for PID. For now I have no better words to express my humble gratitude. Thank you!”
Sarah Jones, proud mother of Sophia Andilove Jones, born April 3, 2005, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
