The team from Gordon reported a slow day at the work site today. However, with their progress over the past few days, they’ve nearly finished setting the foundation for the new house. A few of the others from their team stayed back at the clinic to help the Haitian masons as they built a wall for the new bunkhouse bathroom. Meanwhile, our pre-med student continued her work in the lab, and 2 of the other Gordon students spent some time working with both the small business and child sponsorship programs this morning.
The most excitement, however, came at lunch, when we celebrated the birthdays of two of our team members, one who turned 20 yesterday and another who turned 30 today! We’re glad they both were able to begin a new decade of their lives here in Haiti with us!
